Spring and Summer
This has been one of the mildest winters in a long while. It wasn't that great for winter sports, but for a change, none of us are suffering from cabin fever either. Golf courses are setting up tee times and it looks like an early spring.
Even as we bask in the unseasonably warm weather it is important to keep our pets and their needs in mind.
If we haven't seen you in the last year, remember that one year for us is five to seven years of your pets life and so their annual exam is the one opportunity we have all year (their 5-7 years) to ensure that they continue to live a healthy life. It is also the key occasion to catch any changes to your pet's health early. Schedule your pet's annual exam, it is your commitment to their quality of life.
Warmer weather means parasites will be out early. Fleas and ticks harass our pets making them uncomfortable and ill. We are committed to helping you prevent parasitic infections and flea infestations and recommend that you stop by and pick up the appropriate products to protect your dogs and cats.
It is also time to test your dogs for heartworms before starting them on the heartworm preventative. Click on heartworm testing to learn more about why this is necessary.
